What About the Bridal Registry?
Where should I register for wedding gifts? Should I even bother? Take our advice:
- You should definitely register for wedding presents. Otherwise you risk getting what Aunt Mabel thinks you want rather than what you actually want.
- Put your names on several different bridal registries around Denver, at several different price points.
- List wedding gifts in useful units: If your china comes by the place setting, for example, you risk getting stuck with only three place settings. Better to pick china that comes in sets of four place settings.
- List a variety of different things. You'll have guests who don't want to get you pots and pans (even though you need and want them) because they want to get you "something you'll remember." But without your guidance, it could be something you'll remember—in a bad way.
- Don't be shy about telling people which wedding registries you're on. After all, you can't expect them to guess.
